A space to hold a conversation, information absorbs into the building.
Through passive and anecdotal observation, we get to know the gallery; we introduce ourselves. A vessel, a transcript, a score, a support structure. Methods of presentation give a place for words to lie, protected and cradled, propped, tucked under and sheltered.
Three tram rides meet; the empty gallery is a meeting point where three experiences converge. We forgo this place when the hammering and drilling noises become a hindrance, down the street to the library, or downstairs for a coffee. Intuitively collecting and making out of bits found, there is an unspoken hum through our collective narratives. Smells, sounds and light qualities all incite moments of the elusive temporary. Changing roles through different levels of expertise and comfort, there is no hierarchy.
Compromises are intrinsic through understanding, willingness and tenderness. Emotion and action are re-articulated within non-linear structures, moments are compartmentalised and sorted.
